How does my child qualify for Bloom & Blossom Early Intervention services?
Bloom & Blossom has a partnership with BabyNet and SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN).
My child is newborn-3 yrs old:
If your child is 3 and under they can qualify through BabyNet. Anyone can refer a child to BabyNet- parent, pediatrician, teacher, or caregiver, or if you'd like, our team can help you with this, just contact us. If your child is deemed eligible by BabyNet, you can choose Bloom & Blossom as your Early Intervention service provider. To refer your child, see the link below:

My child is 3-6 years old:
If your child is 3-5 years old, follow the link to see if they can qualify for our services through Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN). See link below:

Once your child goes through the referral process with DDSN, you will be asked to choose a provider. If you live in one of our service areas, we would be honored to help you! Just remember to ask for Bloom & Blossom when speaking with your Intake Coordinator.
What is the cost of Early Intervention services?
Our services are completely FREE to all families, regardless of a family's income. These services are mandated by federal law and are publicly funded through SC DDSN and Medicaid. We can also help link you to other services that BabyNet will cover like OT, ST, and PT until your child is 3 years old. There is no need to pay out of pocket for your child's therapies!
If your child is over the age of 3, we can still help link you to resources, but DDSN does not cover therapies!
Where do Early Intervention services take place?
All Early Intervention (EI) services are provided within the child's natural environment. Your EI can come to your home, your child's daycare, meet you at the library or the park, or another community setting.
How do I know if my child needs Early Intervention services?
If you have concerns about your child's hearing and vision, or concerns about their ability to communicate wants and needs. Additionally, if your child is having trouble thinking and reasoning, crawling, walking, socially interacting with other children, then your child may benefit from Early Intervention (EI) services.
If your child has a specific condition like Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, or Prematurity, they can be automatically eligible.
Additionally, if your child has already qualified for Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapy, then they will likely qualify for BabyNet services as well. Once they qualify for BabyNet services, BabyNet will help pay for these therapies!
If you suspect your child may have a problem, the earlier you get help, the better!
